Mount Pleasant of Edinboro
Edinboro, PA, is a pleasant small town near Lake Erie in Northwestern Pennsylvania. It’s home to a small state college and a lot of snow. The lake effect can make for cold winters, but helps keep family ski area Mount Pleasant of Edinboro in the white—it’s Pennsylvania’s snowiest ski resort.
At just 350-feet vertical drop on 25 skiable acres, Mount Pleasant ski resort is small, but its size gives it charm. There’s a real family feel on the lodge and lift. That’s right: lift. There’s only one chairlift at Mount Pleasant of Edinboro, although a beginners poma runs along the green slope at the bottom. An old T-bar rarely (never?) runs.
Most terrain is labeled blue, but beginner skiers shouldn’t be intimidated. Even the sole black run won’t strike fear into many experienced downhillers. Some more challenging skiing can be found in the glades, which are well maintained and fun if the snow is right.
There’s also a small tubing area.
